Asset Catalog
This content is for Spring ’26. Switch to the latest version for up-to-date documentation.
The mobile Asset Catalog mirrors the web experience, adapted for smaller screens. Assets are displayed in a scrollable grid with thumbnail previews. The folder tree is accessible via a slide-out panel on the left, and top-level navigation lets you switch between the catalog, collections, starred items, and offline assets.
The catalog loads additional assets as you scroll, and folder counts are displayed so you can gauge the size of each folder before opening it. The layout adjusts to your device’s screen size, ensuring thumbnails remain clear and tappable on both phones and tablets.
Asset Click Through
Section titled “Asset Click Through”Asset Click Through on mobile brings the same seamless browsing experience to the field. When you open an asset in the viewer, swipe left to advance to the next asset in the folder, or swipe right to return to the previous one. The gesture feels natural on a touch device, as the current asset slides out and the next one slides in, keeping you immersed in the content without dropping back to the catalog grid.
A position indicator at the top of the viewer displays your current place, for example, “8 of 32”, giving you a clear sense of where you are in the folder and how many assets are left to review. The counter updates with each swipe.
As on the web, navigation is contained within the current folder. Swiping moves through assets in the order set by your active sort preference, but does not cross folder boundaries. When you reach the first or last asset in the folder, the viewer gently resists further swiping in that direction, signalling that you have reached the end.
For field teams, this is a significant time-saver. Whether you are flicking through shelf photos from a store visit, reviewing a set of promotional materials before a meeting, or scanning compliance images for a particular location, Asset Click Through lets you stay in the flow and assess content quickly without navigating back and forth through the catalog.
Search Assets
Section titled “Search Assets”Tap the search icon at the top of the screen to open the search bar. Type keywords, file names, tags, or attribute values to find matching assets. The mobile search supports the same filter capabilities as the web. You can narrow results by file type, date, folder, and attributes. Search results update as you type, helping you find content quickly even on the go.
When Spaces is enabled, search results are scoped to your currently selected Space, ensuring you only see relevant content.
View Assets
Section titled “View Assets”The mobile asset viewer opens when you tap an asset thumbnail. It displays a full-screen preview with pinch-to-zoom for images. Swipe left and right to navigate between assets in the current view. The details panel slides up from the bottom of the screen, showing metadata, attributes, tags, and related links.
For video files, the viewer provides an inline player with playback controls. For documents, Studio renders a preview where the format is supported, or offers a download option to open the file in a compatible app on your device.
Viewing Assets
Section titled “Viewing Assets”Beyond individual asset viewing, the Studio mobile app supports several browsing modes to help you navigate large libraries efficiently. You can browse by folder structure, scroll through recent uploads, or view assets grouped by attribute values. The app remembers your last browsing position, so you can pick up where you left off after switching between tasks.
Multi-Select
Section titled “Multi-Select”Multi-Select on mobile lets you perform the same bulk actions available on the web, adapted for touch interaction. To enter selection mode, long-press on any asset in the catalog. The interface shifts to show circular checkboxes on each asset thumbnail. Tap additional assets to add them to your selection. A toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen displaying the number of selected items and the available actions.
From the selection toolbar, you can download the selected assets, delete them, move them to a different folder, add them to a collection, mark them as starred, apply tags, or make them available offline. Tap any selected asset again to deselect it, or use the Select All option to quickly capture everything in the current view. To exit selection mode without taking action, tap the close icon on the toolbar.
