Policy eligibility
This content is for Spring ’26. Switch to the latest version for up-to-date documentation.
You can define criteria so commercial policies apply to a customer segment or a specific customer-for example policies only for independents versus only for large supermarkets. Eligibility is controlled with the Segment Builder; see the Segment Builder topic for full detail.
Specify a target account (account commercial policies)
- From a commercial policy record, click Edit.
- Scroll to the Effectivity Section section.
- Choose a Target Account.
- Select Inheritable if the policy should apply to child accounts.
- Click Save.
Specify a target segment (segment commercial policies)

Specify a specific account to receive eligibility

- Choose Eligible to grant access or Ineligible to remove it.
- Optionally set effectivity so the override applies only in a date range.
- Click Save.
Policy effectivity
Section titled “Policy effectivity”You control the period during which a commercial policy runs. Effectivity can follow a date range or simply depend on the active flag. Policies outside their window or marked inactive do not run in the sales channels.
