Field
This content is for Spring ’26. Switch to the latest version for up-to-date documentation.
Field is a native mobile app for iOS and Android. It is built for consumer goods field teams: you execute visits and tasks, capture orders with pricing and promotions offline, manage inventory and payments, and work with account and product data wherever you are. Authentication uses Salesforce; data syncs bidirectionally with Consumer Goods when you are online. Ava provides in-app assistance alongside your day-to-day workflows.
This documentation is organised around how you install the app, move around it, and complete core jobs:
- Installation - Getting the app on supported devices.
- Navigation - Bottom bar, side menu, gestures, and signing in.
- Accounts - Finding accounts and working on account detail, including attributes.
- Products - Product lists, detail, attributes, resources, and barcode scanning.
- Inventory - Stock levels, transfers, and how inventory affects ordering.
- Order capture - From order start through cart, confirmation, completion, and sync behaviour.
- Visit execution - Visits, check-in, tasks (guides, audits, surveys, orders, deliveries, payments, and more).
- Sync - Login sync, manual and background sync, selectivity, conflicts, and errors.
- Setup - Administrator configuration of mobile behaviour via Aforza Admin (mobile config, consoles, documents, and JSON options).
- Smart actions - Automated and manual integrations during visits and orders (including Ava and connectivity-aware actions).
Use the sections above to jump to the area you need. Administrator-only configuration details are called out with Admin notes where relevant.
