Unit of measure

Unit of measure configuration builds a small hierarchy of related products so one parent can represent cases, packs, and singles while each child carries its own price and assortment visibility.

Set Up a Unit of Measure Hierarchy

Create a New Product and set Product Family to Product.
Open the Related tab and add a Price Book entry for the parent.
Create child UoM products.
On each child, set Parent Product to the UoM parent (the lookup should default helpfully).
Add a price book entry for every child.
Add the parent to an assortment so it surfaces in the order catalogue.
Add the children to the same or complementary assortments as your rules require.

When the parent appears in the catalogue, selecting it opens the UoM modal so the user picks units and quantities for the order.
