Attribute schemas affect search, workflows, and folder assignment rules across Spaces.

The Attributes admin section is where administrators define the custom metadata fields available across the platform. You can create new attributes, set their data types (text, dropdown, date, multi-select), define allowed values for dropdown and multi-select fields, and mark attributes as required or optional.

Well-designed attributes are the foundation of an organised asset library. They power search filters, drive automated folder assignment rules, and feed into workflow conditions. Administrators should plan their attribute schema thoughtfully to balance detail with usability. When Spaces is enabled, attributes are maintained independently within each Space.
