Promotion calendar

The promotion calendar is a timeline of promotions for your organisation or an individual account. Use it to review timing and financial summaries, adjust effective dates by dragging or resizing promotion bars, create or clone offers from templates or catalogue entries, and filter or group the view so overlaps and gaps stay visible when coordinating promotional activity across the year.

  • From the Aforza Sales application open up the top dropdown menu and select Promotion Planning.
  • From the Aforza Sales application open up the top dropdown menu and select Accounts.
  • Select your Account.
  • On the Account screen select the Promotions tab.

View and modify a promotion

  • From the promotion calendar identify your promotion by scrolling or filtering in the left hand search box.
  • Drag and drop the promotion around the calendar to change its effective dates.
  • Click and drag the ends of a promotion to change its effective dates.
  • Click a promotion to open the promotion popup where you can see high level details of the promotion.
  • Click the links within the modal to be taken to the promotion page where you can edit details more granularly.
  • From the promotion calendar click on a time slot in the calendar.
  • From the promotion creation modal enter your promotion details:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Category
    • Target
    • Effective Period
    • Type
  • Add products to the promotion using the product dropdown. All products are automatically added to the same promotion product group.
  • Add tactics to the promotion using the tactics dropdown. All tactics are automatically added to the entire promotion.
  • Add an image to the promotion.
    • Click the top left image area.
    • Choose the desired promotion image.
  • Click Add Promotion To Calendar.
  • From the promotion calendar select the promotion panel in the toolbar on the right.
  • Select from promotion templates or pre-existing promotions in the catalogue.
  • Drag and drop your chosen promotion onto the calendar.
  • The promotion modal will be automatically filled with the existing promotion’s details and all the underlying products, groups, and tactics will be applied.
  • Modify any of the details in the promotion modal:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Category
    • Target
    • Effective Period
    • Type
  • Add more products to the promotion using the product dropdown. All products are automatically added to the same promotion product group.
  • Add more tactics to the promotion using the tactics dropdown. All tactics are automatically added to the entire promotion.
  • Add an image to the promotion:
    • Click the top left image area.
    • Choose the desired promotion image.
  • Click Add Promotion To Calendar.
  • From the promotion calendar select the product panel in the toolbar on the right.
  • Select from products or product categories in the catalogue.
  • Drag and drop your chosen product onto the calendar.
  • The promotion modal will be automatically filled with some default details and the product will be added to the new promotion.
  • Modify any of the details in the promotion modal:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Category
    • Target
    • Effective Period
    • Type
  • Add more products to the promotion using the product dropdown. All products are automatically added to the same promotion product group.
  • Add tactics to the promotion using the tactics dropdown. All tactics are automatically added to the entire promotion.
  • Add an image to the promotion:
    • Click the top left image area.
    • Choose the desired promotion image.
  • Click Add Promotion To Calendar.

The promotion calendar provides a suite of tools for refining which promotions are displayed, in what order, and how they are grouped. By using the combination of filtering tools the user can create a unique calendar view that helps them manage their exact business processes.

Users can group the calendar promotions in a variety of new ways. Grouping allows the user to get a very specific view of the promotions that helps them manage their business strategy and avoid promotion clashes. Group by is done via the top left group by dropdown and supports:

  • Group By Promotion Category
  • Group By Promotion Type
  • Group By Promotion Status
  • Group By Product & Product Category

Users can filter the calendar promotions in a variety of new ways. Filtering allows the user to get a very specific view of the promotions that helps them manage their business strategy and avoid promotion clashes. Filtering supports:

  • Filter By Product
  • Filter By Product Category
  • Filter By Account
  • Filter By Promotion Type
  • Filter By Promotion Status
  • Filter By Promotion Budget
  • Filter By Base Revenue
  • Filter By Predicted Revenue
  • Filter By Actual Revenue

Users can order the calendar promotions in a variety of new ways. Ordering allows the user to get a very specific view of the promotions that helps them manage their business strategy and avoid promotion clashes. Order by supports:

  • Order By Name Ascending
  • Order By Name Descending
  • Order By Performance Ascending
  • Order By Performance Descending
  • Order By Date Ascending
  • Order By Date Descending
  • Click the Filter icon in the top left corner.
  • Select values from the filter options.
  • Select the order in which the promotions should be displayed.
  • Click Apply Filters.
  • The filter icon displays the number of filter options applied.
  • Select how the filtered promotions should be grouped using the Group By dropdown in the top left corner.
  • Click the Filter icon in the top left corner.
  • Click Clear Filters.
  • Click Apply Filters.
  • Click the Filter icon in the top left corner.
  • Select values from the filter options.
  • Click Save Filter Selection.
  • Enter a filter name.
  • Click Save.
  • Click the Filter icon in the top left corner.
  • Select a filter from the Saved Filters dropdown at the top.
  • Click Apply Filters.
