Custom objects

Using the mobile configuration JSON you can define custom objects that download to Field. They support bespoke offline processes: once an object is defined under Objects to Sync and synced, it can appear in the side menu with an icon from the object’s tab style. Opening it shows a list view; selecting a record opens detail with any configured related lists in tabs.
Ava is available where your licence and configuration allow. The Ava entry appears in the navigation bar and side menu on supported screens. Choosing Ava opens the assistant over the current workflow so you can ask questions or run prompts without leaving Field. Ava can also be started from a smart action with a fixed prompt for a specific step.

To view and edit a custom object record
Section titled “To view and edit a custom object record”- Tap the Side Menu.
- Find and tap your Custom Object.
- Scroll or search the list (columns come from mobile configuration).
- Tap a record.
- Tap the Edit icon, change fields, then Save Changes.
To create a new custom object record
Section titled “To create a new custom object record”- Tap the Side Menu.
- Find and tap your Custom Object.
- Tap +.
- Complete the form.
- Tap Create.
