Post-event analysis (PEA)

This content is for Spring ’26. Switch to the latest version for up-to-date documentation.

Post-event analysis (PEA) measures how a promotion actually performed once it has finished. It compares planned figures from planning tools (such as Promotion Builder and account plans) to actual orders, spend, and accruals from execution-covering baseline, uplift, revenue, trade spend, and ROI in one place.

PEA replaces manual spreadsheet reconciliation with in-system variance so you can see which tactics, products, and accounts over- or under-delivered.

Dimensions typically include:

  • Volume
  • Revenue
  • Trade spend
  • COGS
  • Net revenue
  • Contribution margin
  • ROI

For each metric the system surfaces a variance between plan and outcome.
