Post-installation steps

  • Activate My Domain.
    • Open Setup.
    • Open My Domain.
    • Follow the wizard to activate your domain and enforce HTTPS redirection policies per security guidance.
  • Enable Order Settings.
    • Open Setup.
    • Search for Order Settings.
    • Enable whichever order-processing toggles apply to omnichannel deployments (consult your blueprint—checkboxes unlock split shipments, reductions, reductions on returns, etc.).
  • Assign page layouts packaged with Aforza.
    • Open SetupObject Manager.
    • Repeat for Products, Price Books, Orders, Order Products, Accounts, Assets, and Tasks—or whichever supersets your SI lists.
    • For each object, open Page Layouts, then Page Layout Assignment, and map every impacted profile or Lightning app to the layouts delivered with Consumer Goods unless you purposely retain older variants.
  • Populate standard reference picklists to match seeded sample data assumptions.
    • Open SetupObject Manager.
    • Navigate to ProductFields & RelationshipsProduct Family and introduce values aligned to roadmap (for example Category, Brand, Merchandise, Category roll-ups-mirror your taxonomy workshop).
    • Navigate to AccountFields & RelationshipsType and add banners or channel archetypes negotiated with category leadership-examples might include Convenience Store or Premium Supermarket depending on rollout scope.
    • Navigate to OrderFields & RelationshipsOrder Type, adding Product Order and Return Order distinctions so downstream automation can branch cleanly.
