Order start

This content is for Spring ’26. Switch to the latest version for up-to-date documentation.

On the creation of an order, an Order start form is displayed. This is configurable and can be used to capture custom data, assign inventories, select order types, and more. The order start screen can also trigger automatic Smart Actions, configured in the mobile config.

The product catalog shows an intelligent list of the products in the catalog. Each product displays notifications about high commission, sustainable packaging, and endorsements. Each product also displays stock information based on the chosen inventory location for the order. Tapping the + button adds a single unit to the cart. A long press on + opens a modal to add a larger quantity. When a product is added to the cart the product card shows a green border and the count in the cart. Products in the catalog display their list price (prior to any discounts).

Depending on the configuration set for each product within the product catalog, you may see different follow-on screens when you select a product.

Barcode scanning - While capturing orders in Field, you can scan barcodes to quickly search for and match product records in the catalog. For setup instructions and the required JSON configuration, refer to the Additional configuration values section of this guide.

Unit of measure - Unit of measure is represented by a product family; each linked product is shown in a UoM modal so a product can be added to the cart in the desired unit of measure.

Bundles - Product bundles are represented by a product family; the parent groups the children so they are managed collectively. Bundle quantity affects the children and the bundle price.
